Hello my loyal disciples! Today marks day ten of the 75 hard. I have experienced more down than up during this time. The first time I embarked on the journey in June of 2020 I weighed 265 pounds and was not in the best place mentally. I remember taking a long look at myself in the mirror and thinking who the hell is staring back at me and how did I get there. In that moment I made a promise to myself to stop wallowing in self pity and take action as soon as the gyms opened up. That promise ended up being a lie because as soon our nation opened up I went straight to the bars and made sure to tell my friends that I was going dark for 75 days. I believe it was about one week after everything opened that I started my first 75 hard. I was challenging, but not terribly difficult. I surmise things are different this time around because I have a hell of a lot more things on my plate. Regardless of my increase of responsibility I still have to find a way not to fail this challenge. My plan for the next ten days is to use the super fridge method to meal prep. I have also written up all of my indoor workouts for the next ten days to avoid any more lackluster lifting sessions. Furthermore I am going to wake up an hour early each day to knock out my 500 kettlebell swings. I think these changes in tactics will improve this 75 hard. As it stands now I am flying by the seat of my pants and holding on for dear life. 

Lastly, I am very grateful to have so many things on my plate. The Rik’s Mind Podcast is growing, and so is The Church of the Chubby. All of your messages add fuel to my fire. Outdoor workout:

500 Kettlebell swings grand total 3000 out of 10,000

Workout two:

45 minute walk 

Meals:

Breakfast: 6 eggs, 1 banana, and one 50 gram whey protein shake 

Lunch: N/A

Dinner: two lettuce wrapped cheeseburgers with Bacon, Mushrooms, and jalapenos 

Side note, today was extremely busy and I didn’t eat nearly enough.
